???? Fourth from left looks like a long handled hatchet? If those are considered a hammer I have 3 more than I thought....

Look hard, do you see the nail puller on the bottom? :D

That is a hammer all the tract homes framers use now-a-days.

PS, I forgot my Estwing Rock hammer. I am sure there are more.

It's hard to have enough hammers. Near impossible to have too many.
And all you that weld left out your chipping hammers. :D

I have far too many hammers to count and take a picture of. Will make a short list though.

3 chipping hammers
About 4 hatchet hammers
2 shingling hammers
2 single jacks
2 3# cross peens
1 shrinking hammer.
some plannishing hammers
Several ball peens - From very tiny up to a pound +
Several carpenter hammers
3+ Monkey wrench hammers ( all antique)
Several forging hammers - Some are considered punches
1 Ford wrench hammer

Bet I have forgot some :D

Now we should get into Screw Drivers.

3 sledge
2 heads need handles
5 claw
3 rip
6 ballpeen various sizes
2 rubber mallets
3 dead blow different weights
2 roofing
2 chipping
And can't ever find the one I need until I'm done.

I thought I was the only one who collected hammers. I am not alone.:laughing::laughing: I would not doubt if I have 50 or more hammers.

I too probably have close to 50 myself, since it is warmer today I will get out and count and photograph the ones in my outbuilding shops. Don't get me started on screwdrivers...

Gracious. I did not think I had that many hammers but I guess I do know that I started counting. :D I don't compared to some of you people who have HCI, Hammer Collect Itis. :D

2 Claw
1 Framing
1 Tack
1 Ball Peen
2 dead blow
1 Rubber mallot
1 Hand sledge
1 Two handed sledge
2 Splitting mauls

Not counting the mauls that is a lot of hammers. :D

Oh, wait, does a Nail Gun count? It "hammers?"

IMHO any tool that requires air or electricity to power it DOES NOT qualify as a hammer. And neither does any object (hands, blocks of wood, metal bars, etc) that is used as a makeshift tool to strike something. Otherwise I could claim the 10,000 rocks that surround my house qualify as hammers.

Two or three of everything. 20-25. Tape measures about 12-14. I have to have multiples of everything when I work on a project. You know why.

Finally went out and counted:

Total in the house, outbuildings, and vehicle tool kits:

18 claw hammers

7 ball peen hammers

5 plastic tip hammers

1 rubber mallet

2 tack hammers

1 upholstery hammer

4 sledge hammers

3 splitting mauls

2 hand sledges

2 hatchets

Jeez...only 45 total? I didn't bother to get all of them together for the pics, too much work to put them back where they were. The attachments show the collections from the garage and northside barns...and I probably have a few more I don't even know about.

I guess the air hammer I get when I shut off the water in my kitchen doesn't count either.
Nor the Arm&Hammer, I suppose.

Ha ha ha. Excellent thread.

I don't know for sure but I have a lot too.

Just off the top of my head...

24 oz framing 1
16 to 20 oz claw 5
2lb sledge 2
2.5 sledge 1
3lb sledge 1
8 lb sledge 2
rock hammer 1
mallet 2 rubber 1 dead blow
demolition hammer 1
ball pein at least 4
small railway hammer 1

That's 22 but I am sure I have more. I gotta go count, you have me thinking. Problem is they're all over the place, in the house, shop, truck, barn and so on.

Really I guess I have to go clean up the shop. :confused2:

I might call that "water" hammer and it may be mistaken for unstrapped piping as well. If it is water hammer Sioux Chief I believe it is makes some bolt on solutions for that. Look for "Water Hammer Arrestors" .

JDgreen727, that's not a hammer, it's a hatchet! If it had a nail puller it would count!

DISAGREE !!! Ball peens, plastic tip mallets, sledges, mauls, etc. don't have nail pullers but nobody says they are NOT a hammer !! If they can be used to drive a nail....that's all that matters!!!

Ah HA! So nail guns and rocks DO count as hammers since they can drive a nail! "...thats all that matters!!!":laughing::laughing::laughing:
