Harvey,

Very nicely done!!!! I love the leaves that you added to the brackets. They give it that something extra that really stands out as old world craftsmanship.

You told me about King Architectual Metals a few years ago, and if anybody else is looking for some very unique and quality metal items, this is the place to go. I've been very impressed with there prices and service. Mostly I buy brackets for kitchen breakfast bars in remodels I do, but I'm also using them for a gazebo that I'm going to build. It's all very high quality at an affordable price!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the great pics, I really enjoyed them. Tell Craig the house looks great.

Eddie

This is not Craig's house. I understand his is finally dried in.

Nice work Harv.

Funny how things work as I was in town last night and had dinner with your "client". He was showing me pictures of the house and the railing you built. They are good friends and we've missed them terribly since we moved south.

You need to build him a matching gate now.

Before we build the gate we're going to build the interior handrails and the staircase. We're looking at steel and wood pickets together in the handrails and stone for the treads in the staircase. One of the great things about them is they are open to the unconventional idea.

Nice work Harv, I've been using Baer/Pro Coat/Quality Powder coating for years myself. Roland started in a very small shop down the street from me in Lewisville, he's done pretty well for himself.

It is a small world. I started dealing with the Baer side before Roland bought them out. Between my work and the stuff we've done together for Anchor Fence we've had some real fun. We did some panels for Children's Hospital in Ft Worth where I had to make custom racks to get the product into the ovens. They were so large we had to put them in at an angle to get them through the doors.

Harvey,

My mistake. ;)

I sure like the look of this house. It makes me think of the Hill Country with a very nice fit in the trees. The combination of the Board and Batton with the rock and iron rails is a beautiful combination.

Can you post any pics of the entire house?

Thanks,
Eddie

Eddie the house is exceptional and I'm sure Gary will confirm that you'd enjoy not only the design but the construction. However, it's a client's house and the client is a TBN member who hasn't posted the particulars so I can't in good conscience do so. You've got my numbers and if you get in the area give me a call and we'll arrange a visit. I can guarantee you will love it.

My last visit to Craig's had the framing at the point in these photos. I understand it's now dried in.

Harv,

That is a beautiful railing. I too love the custom end cap/hanger brackets. I'm so glad that you're 1600 miles away from me cuz i'm afraid that i'd have to give you a bedroom for all the work i'd like to have done. I think you have more metal working talent in one hand than i have in total. Great job.

Harvey,

Thanks for the pics and update on Craigs house. I'm assuming those are the cedars that you took out for him? It looks like he's using them for structual beams. I really like to look of his ceilings with the cedar beams. Very cool!!!

Yep, I used Dutch too back then. It's been amazing to watch that business grow to the size it has.
