Happy Birthday to me!

Well, last Saturday was my birthday, and to ease the pain of turning another year older, I have ordered my new tractor with almost everything I thought I'd ever want! I'll have to wait till next week or so for delivery, but believe me, Roy,....it could never be compared to awaiting the birth of a child - at least not from a woman's perspective /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. (Don't go there if you want to keep peace in the house!) The only pain involved here is to the bank account.

I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of a Kubota Grand L 3710 HST with filled R4's, FEL with teeth, aftermarket cab with additional lights, backhoe, brush hog, post hole auger and rear blade!!! Can't wait to post pics of my new baby and put it to work.

I've even gotten a marriage proposal already, but he's only seven /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. Now if I could only find a man as handsome, hard working and reliable....../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Thanks for the assistance, guys. BTW are there any other women in this forum?

That's quite a birthday! Congratulations! You made your decision swifter than many of us, and it sounds as if you made excellent choices.

I'd be interested in knowing the brands and models of the implements you got. Did you decide on the Freedom Hitches?

I've been actively reading this forum for about four months now, and I only remember posts from about two other women. So don't desert us, now. In my experience, tractors and pets are harder-working, more reliable and even better looking than men -- and are much safer bets. But that's another subject.

Congrats, again, and give us full reports as you use each toy.

Welcome to the owner's club. That is one fine Tractor and I know you will enjoy immensely. You went whole hog on the implements too. Whatcha gonna do - dig a new "Great Lake" up there? Had been watching your posts and from all your ? looks like you got the right one to match your requirements. I understand the anxious part (my new Kubota is being delivered tomorrow)but hang in there.

You can forget finding a man as handsome, hard working , & reliable as your Grand L. They don't exist. Happy Birthday!!

This wasn't just any birthday... it was one of the dreaded "0" birthdays. Besides, I'm worth it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. Now that I've become a home wine brewer and entered into a whole new decade, I can really appreciate the old addage that wine and women DO get better with age!

I have been planning and wishing for this tractor for at least three years and my experiences with the M over the last 10 years gave me a good idea of what I would want/need. The new one will seem small compared to the M but it will be just as powerful and a lot more versatile. BTW - the M has a narrow front so I learned to be cautious right off the bat. When the new one arrives, I'll post pics of them both.

Judging from your comments, I guess this tractor is destined to become the love of my life /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. But you guys sell yourselves short - there are some wonderful men out there just as there are some wonderful women. I rarely miss a chance to poke fun at men, but it's only in jest. I get it back and then some.

The tractor is supposed to be delivered by the end of next week, so I'll be moving a pile of dirt (a long story about the "mystery" drain lines in an old house), brush hogging the fields and putting in two new fence posts for a gate the first weekend. Snow may arrive at any time, so I want to get used to the loader as soon as possible. I'm going to see how things go before I decide on the Freedom Hitch.

Any miscellaneous items (other than a fuel container) that I should be acquiring to have an hand?
