When the sun came up this AM, I noticed some crazy white stuff all over my fresh cut pastures and lawn.

It seems to have disappeared for the most part, except in the shadows.

I wonder what that is/was.

LOL.

I always heard if you walk on golf greens with that white stuff still present, you ruin the grass.

Yep. Walking on frosted grass will cause a burn and might kill the grass.
Frost forms jagged ice crystals that will pierce cell walls.
