There's coupons in automotive magazines . They run coupons every mag . Just flip through tell ya find the winch coupon.

I bought the one the other weekend ago or so was going to use the coupon I had . But they was having there parking lot sell . And it was at coupon prices . So I loaded up several items .

Okay I am currently using a warn because they were the ones to have in the past . Have bought my share of solinoids because you need four of them for it to run as intended. My dually is a diesel also equipped with the lugged tires. Will it pull your rig out when it gets stuck? I will buy one tommorrow with the remote which has gone up 20.00 more in price since they introduced it. Will use a snatch block if required and will not run it till it burns up. Thank you for your answer. ps. truck weighs 8800 at the scrap yard, so there is alot of weight when in the mud.

If ya on a budget a harbor freight is as good as any .

There's coupons for the remote for $19.99 that's how I got the remote for mine also . But I didn't like the lag of the remote .

Another winch to buy on a buget is a Tuff Stuff winch . You can easily get parts for them also . I was going to try one but needed one ASAP so went with the harbor freight . There both worth the money .

I have made the warn extension out of a drop cord so head back into the cab dragging a orange extension cord. Do you think the five prong badlands remote could be wired for the three wire warn? I mean without alot of lawyers helping?

I only use mine for loading logs or if I get something stuck while logging or snaking out a log if tractor wont. For power I purchased a heavy guage #2 I think set of extra long jumper cables and just hook up to battery using them.

Yes, my 7 pin plug has the charger circuit. I wasn't sure if that was sufficient to keep a winch battery charged.

just be sure to replace the fuse with a breaker or have a few separe fuses.

I have the wireless 2500 lb. HF winch. I loaded a Jeep Grand Cherokee twice with it. First time a low incline single line pull. The second time from ground level onto my lowboy trailer double line pull. I was really impressed both times. I welded a receive to trailer and made a hitch mount for the winch. I am going to try it with loading logs. After decent testing I will probably get a larger capacity winch. Wireless is the way to go. I purchased 2 winches; $44.99 and $49.99.
