Harbor Freight 3-point quick hitch

( I got one. Quality is ok for the price, but you will have to modify it to fit a cat 1. The slots for the lift arms are only 1-1/4" wide and cat 1s require 1-3/8. I called HF and got a discount. I suspect the price will continue downward.

I've been worried about this since you posted. I really didn't want to do a lot of modifications to get mine to fit.

I just got my quick hitch in this morning and pulled it out of the box and measured the slot. It is 1 3/8". Maybe they got this batch right!

It looks pretty heavy duty to me. It does say it is good for tractors up to 45hp. The toplink setup seems like it is a little to much of a one size fits all situation, it in the instructions it shows an adapter bracket to be used if the top link doesn't match up. It looks like it has about 6" of up and down the way it is but you will have to undo 2 bolts to move it up and down.

Overall for the price and how cheap shipping was I think it will work!

I got my gloves last week, but no hitch. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I hope it's on its way.

Thanks for posting the dimension on the hitch you just got. I knew the dimension problem mine exhibits would bite them bad, and I suspected it would be fixed fairly quickly. I held off modifying mine on this expectation. I am going to call them tomorrow and tell them to come pick it up and ship me an item that fits as advertised. With a little luck they will abandon it and ship me new. Its not worth enuff to them to pay for its return, and it is my experience that they do take responsibility for their products. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Okay, I took some pictures tonight and will post them. I resized them and put them on low quality so they shouldn't be too big to load even for dial up folks.

The hydraulic oil puddle is from a leak on a fitting on my loader the other day so please ignore that. I didn't feel like moving the tractor to a clean cement area just to take pictures.

It went on pretty easy. Probably about 15 minutes total time by myself. I double checked all my implements and it should work for all of them except maybe my larger disc that was setup as a cat 2 originally.

It seems pretty heavy duty and overall I think it is well worth the $69.99.

Now for the pictures. I won't win any photography awards but you can get the general idea.

This closeup picture of the toplink is pretty blurry but you can still get the general idea.

Based on your photos and review, I've just placed my order. Hard to beat a quick hitch + 6 pair of leather gloves for less than $75.00! I look forward to getting it, now.

Thanks,

BR
