Harbor Freight Auger Drill

Harbor Freight has their 1.5 horsepower gasoline auger drill (lot no. 67414) on sale this month for $179.99 (usually $249.99). The 6 inch auger bit is the usual $47.99. I'm replacing a bunch of fence posts and this could certainly speed up my work. Does anyone have any experience with this auger?

I really don't want to buy a 3 point hitch post hole digger, I don't want to spend the money, and I only replace a few posts at a time, so it'll be more work to take the phd on and off my 3ph.

Thats tempting but at the same time with the stone we have in the ground I dont think it would work too well for me.

Just be prepared to Dance with it . Being a single person operation may be better than those 2 man jobbers . Seen many a big boy think " oh , I can stop it " , and end up getting spun like a top when they catch rocks , roots or what have you .
