Dave,
I too have the chop saw, but use the bandsaw more often. As with the bandsaw blades, buy a better chop saw blade. the HF aren't as good as name brand discs. Good luck.

I bought one of these cheap saws from TSC a couple of years ago and have put some hard use on it and it has held up fine. I even got what I consider pretty good use out of the original blade. I now buy new blades from a tool supply place I deliver to, 30 bucks for two blades. I was prepared to have to make ajustments and modifications to get this thing to cut straight but it's been fine. All the guards are sheetmetal and fit poorly. Someday I plan to build a better stand for it but for now it keeps on cutting.

The only thing I don't like is that fact that the only coolant you can get now is water based, you have to change it fairly frequently or it gets rancid, and of course it evaporates too.......

thats why they use a lot of guys use ATF these days i belive.
