In case it is needed in the future, this is the best place to look for a variable frequency drive to go from single phase 220V to 220V 3 phase:

No reason to spend a lot of money on a DRO.

T21577 0-6" Digital Fractional Horizontal / Vertical Remote Scale

You will hear from people who slam them but they are usually the ones who spent $800 on theirs, so the reactions from them can be chalked up to human nature. I use these for X, Y and Z axis with no problems at all. You can buy the longer versions and cut the bar to whatever length is suitable.

Trout those are perfect I was going to try to doctor up some cheap digital calipers like I've seen others do which I thought was brilliant but your link is perfect

I've been on the grizzly sight a bunch of times and did not see them

Thank you very much I will order enough for all three axis this will make life much easier for me!!

I got the hf 20% discount so ended up paying 1200 and change prior to shipping

Now to get my first tools for the machine

I figure the clamp set and some end mills and the appropriate collets

I will also need to sort out a table

Also I meant no offense what-so-ever regarding Bridgeport quality it is clear from all that I've read that they are as close to bulletproof as machines that combined with the fact that I've never even seen one in person clearly demonstrates there was little basis for my concern by I would definitely be in trouble in the event something were to go wrong
