I may have to do the jack thing to mine, One of my impliments is right at 27" spread. My adapter came Saturday and my 3 piece tin snip set from the coupon I used came last week also. Hopefully the hitch will be here soon.

I just ordered 2 hitches from HF (Going to get one welded to a QA plate so I can use stuff on the front) and one adapter. They told me the hitches are on back order to Nov 17 - didn't say anything about the adapter.

I bolted my adapter to my backing plate and I have metal around 4 edges so it won't move and I can use same backing plate for other things

I had been following the old thread for some time. The price was too tempting so I decided to check with my local retail store before the deal was gone. They had some hitches in last month but the few they got sold out fast. Could get a rain check but they did not have the adapter so I opted to phone the order in. Used the coupon code for the $5.00 off and a set of aviation snips. I already have the snips and they work good so these will be spares. Would rather had the gloves or even the duffle bag but free is free. They had the same leather gloves at the store on sale for $1.50 pair so I picked up a couple pair.

The total for the hitch, adapter, and the free snips was a little less than $84 w/shipping. Impossible to beat even if it requires a little modification. I have a freind who is called Mr. Modification so maybe trade the snips for some of his "make it fit" help.

To place a Phone Order 805-388-3000.

Ask for Item #29309, Description "93691 Hitch Adapter (Optional)". Total cost with shipping, $16.43.

My order # always showed as 'not in system' but the item arrived in under 10 days.

I picked up the HF hitch during a recent weekend sale, $69.99 minus 10% for the special sale and minus 15% with a coupon I had recevied from prior puchases, total cost: $53.54 plus tax (PA180007). I refused to add the adapter and decided to modify my implements (PA180003). My 60" KK BB was easily adapted by moving the back braces outside the upper pin. Also, separated the upper hook to a 3" space and had to grind off the excess bolt on the HF bracket, only the head and the nut show right above the picture showing the pipe nipple (PA180004). I also had to cut back about 1" of the side gusset on each side next to the pin for clearance (PA180001). I can easily remove the upper bolt with the 3" pipe nipple for other tractors to use a normal 3 pt. attachment. Since I only have a BX 24, I don't have to worry about that at all.

See the pictures attached. This works great. I don't have to get off the tractor to hook or unhook the BB. The original width was 26-3/4" out of the box. I used a floor jack to spread arms to a bit over 27" (PA180009).

Huh, interesting. What else would you use the backing plate for? They also seem reasonable at $125 from ATI to get extras if necessary.

I really appreciate your ideas - I think you are the one who put the idea of 3 point QA on the front in my head. I'm thinking for rake and blade its going to be really useful - makes a really cheap snow plow.
