+20 on the diamond 4 sided sharpener you guys mentioned earlier thanks for the tip! :)

I got 2 while I was at it and am not one bit sorry either. It will also make a nice gift idea for about anyone that sharpens their own knifes or wants to start.

+++++ on the 4 sided sharpener. I have a Leatherman Charge with the 154CM (I don't really know what that means, I just know it's hard steel and I can't sharpen it on a stone) knife blade. This diamond sharpener will put an edge on it.

I think I posted ages ago about their sds hammer drill 3-in-1 1" SDS Rotary Hammer. I have had it now for a couple of years and use it numerous times a month (I am a handyman/contractor) and it has turned out to be a real gem.

I'll second the thumbs up on this hammer drill. I bought it for a basement remodel that involved alot of drilling through concrete. I used it a ton. I has lots of power and goes through rock hard concrete easily. One of the uses I had was to chisel out a 18 diameter hole for a sump pump. It did the job fine and still drills holes today.

Is the quality of HF electrical items improving?
My motto has always been to steer clear of anything from them with an electric motor but lately it seems the comments on electrical items seems to be improving. Any thoughts on this?

It depends on what you buy as to what quality they are. I know I know that's not a real good bit of imformation, but that's how it is. I know I bought a 4" mini grinder and it seems to be fine no problems yet, I also have one of there electric chainsaw chain sharpeners and I love it, I have a 18 volt cordless drill and it is fine ans has a lot of power. I also have a 1/4 electric drill motor that was good enough to hit the trash within a week, but a 7/14" circular saw that works real well bought if expressly for cutting the peak of the house through the shingles for the ridge vent when I put the new roof on and I still have it and it is running strong. Like I said it depends what you buy but there isn't any ryme or reason to do so!

If the blade is 6" long that 154CM stands for 154 Centimetres.

154 CM is the blade material - 154 chrome moly

I have noticed a continual improvement in the quality of HF tools. The castings are appropriately thicker and better finished. The paint is better done, and generally not the thin dipped coat their steel products used to get. The welds look better. The last time I was in Lowe's, I compared the tile saw I have with the one they sell. Mine was more than 1/3 less, and the fit and finish looks as good or better.
