gonna add to the list. Bar clamps for woodworking. (not the plastic quick grip kind). about 4.50 at hf, 13 at a tool store.. work wonderfull

The plastic quick grip kind of clamps won't put much pressure on a work piece. I don't know if they are intentionally limited or if they just aren't built well. The one handed feature is nice, but if you need some real force use something else. I got mine for free when they had a "free with purchase" coupon.

Dad broke the HF plastic quick clamp on the first use; we have a few of the real ones. Not as much pressure, but decent enough for the smaller projects.
the metal ones are much better, and we have pony clamps for the heavy clamping jobs

Has HF cleaned up their logo? The little picture of the boat is gone.

The driveway alarm is a good buy and works well with one exception. The outdoor unit is not waterproof. I made a little open cover with a piece of flashing and a piece of treated 2x6. I cut a peak on the 2x6 and nailed the flashing to it creating a gabled cover. I painted the whole thing flat black/OD green including the outdoor unit. (I taped off the sensor area) The 2x4 is screwed to a tree below the house. I have had a unit in service for 18 months since I did this.

McCulloch MC1275 Heavy-Duty Floor Steam Cleaner - Walmart.com

I was going to get this at HF on sale but it was $5 cheaper at Amazon and it came it yesterday but I have not seen it yet.

Has anyone tried this steam cleaner. The project truck we bought belonged to a chain smoker and was hoping it would help cleaning the inside of the film/smell.

I dont know about those ones, but steam cleaners are great. My uncle has one of the gum buster steam cleaners, for removing gum from pavement. That thing is incredible, it will remove greasy crap from grout lines almost instantly. I say if that one works nearly as well, it will be perfect for you.

Reviews ran more to the plus side. Clearly this is a toy compared to a $5K diesel fired steam cleaner but plan to try it inside the house on some clean projects too. I would like to do some detail cleaning for painted parts under the hood where pressure washers just dump more water than I prefer or can reach well.

Leaving upper NY after lunch where the snow as turned to rain but we are looking at a cold weekend back in KY but will try to steamer if possible.

I can see it leading to looking for a heavier version. :D

Locking Oil Filter Wrench

I would like to nominate the above locking oil filter removal pliers. Combo vise grips with ability to grip an oil filter. Saved me a number of times, especially yesterday when I didn't have enough clearance to get a filter off a Kubota M7040. It's on sale frequently and I think is $5 in the current flier.
