Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Simple, good price, love my HF 4 lb. Dead Blow Hammer, mostly when helping my implements on and off the tractor. It's bright orange too making it easy to spot when I forget to return it home. Bought a 2nd one yesterday I use it so much.

I'll second the dead blow hammer but also say the early ones of a few years ago were pure junk. My earliest one disintegrated in front of my eyes.

Let me also recommend the biggest rubber hammer they make. I think it's this 2 lb hammer.

2 lb. Rubber Mallet

Works like a charm and has persuaded many close fitting things into position. Two thumbs up.

Oh I was looking at that, on sale right now too. I may need to swing back over and pick one up.

I work dangerously close to a Harbor Freight store... maybe 2 miles way if that. It can get ugly at times when they have their tent sales.

I have dead blow hammers some from Frieght at least 10 years now they are worth the money and work ok but do you know after all that time that weird rubber odor is still there!

If you are into any type finish work the black ones can leave marks...two of the orange colored ones a big and small they are my fav's now

As a rule, their hammers are hard to beat, price and quality wise. I have a couple of the ball-pein sets, the rubber mallet set and several of the 3 pound mini sledges. Mine are all old enough that they still have wooden handles, haven't had any issue with them loosening. I think all the metal heads are epoxied now.

I like that dead blow hammer. I've had one for a few years.

Anybody have experience with the #69927 Framing Nailer? This is the full-head 21 degree nailer, current version.
It weighs only 9 lbs, while their 3-in-one nailer weighs 12 lbs and is $40 more. The reviews for this on HF's site are encouraging, 4.5 of 5 stars across 60 reviews and several contractors reporting they stand up to

I don't know about that model but I have an older 21 degree HF nailer that has held up through building a church fellowship hall, horse barn and 1200 sq ft shop. The thing is a tank.

Here's a couple useful tools that you won't use all the time but when you need them they are really worth it.

This first one is useful for prying things into place. I also use to help rotate my truck tires by slipping the spoon end under the tire for the last 1/4" to lever the tire onto the studs. Makes an impossible job possible. It's $16 but I've seen it for less plus you can use a 20% off coupon.

33 in. Jumbo Pry Bar

This second is either a 30" or 36" "alignment" bar. Take your pick. I use it to align things that don't want to align. Makes short work of big problems. The first one is $10 but you can use a 20% coupon. The second one is $12 and same drill with the coupon. Not sure which one I have but it gets used a lot. Each has a "spud" type end that has all sorts of uses if you work on farm equipment.

30" Alignment Pry Bar
36 in. Alignment Pry Bar

All three items are best buys.

I also have the 33 inch Jumbo Pry Bar. It fits neatly into the torque tube on my loader and hold it in place with a bit of bungee cord. Remarkable how many problems can be resolved with leverage and a metal bar.

Anyone know if I can use a coupon to buy this welding card? The 20% off coupons now exclude certain things. Here's the cart...

Welding Cabinet

It's on "sale" for $149 now but the regular price with a coupon is still cheaper. As well I have a 25% off coupon I could use.

I believe you can, unless they call it a tool chest; those are excluded, ad are welders, generators, and pretty much anything with a gas motor.
