Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

This thread is also a good "quick reference" to check to see if the TBN group mind thinks a certain tool is good or not. I check it when I'm planning on getting a tool, often I read it's not worth the $$, sometimes it's the best tool going.

And THAT'S exactly why I posted back detailed, long-term info about the little generator. Thanks for validating me;-)

Maybe HF buys a full page ad every month and sweetens the deal? Nah.

Every magazine I read that has HF multi page ads now includes HF tools in their articles, either reviews or just saying they used a HF "xxxxxxx" to complete the job or build the project, whatever the article is about. This includes automotive, woodworking and handyman magazines. Before the HF ads were common, their tools were never mentioned. Draw your own conclusions.

I conclude no one knew about or bought HF tools before HF advertised. :)

No question that the ads with the "free with any purchase" flashlights, volt-ohm meters, magnetic parts dishes, tape measures, etc. get people in the store. I have a whole drawer full of that stuff! But I also think HF has upped its game in terms of quality on a lot of their stuff in the last few years, as they've become more successful.

Not suggesting he / they got a free tool are you.

Hard to beat that! For the odd tool and occasional use, HF is always on my radar. Certain consumables too.. like grinding discs and nitrile/latex gloves.

Latex gloves are a good product only if you buy at the right price and use a coupon. Otherwise, they can be cheaper elsewhere. Plus, they carry XL size and those sometimes work better for me in the summer.

I like the 7mil Nitrile XL. They are longer so they cover the wrist much more. I always buy them on sale.
