These small handle side cutters, or whatever they're called, are the best I've ever owned. They're from HF and are 25-ish years old. Look at the edges and uniformity in the photos below. Real quality.

I bought them after I bought a high priced pair of USA made clippers and the jaws were not even. Junk. Since then, I've bought other high dollar USA made clippers and been disappointed in one way or another The HF ones cut small wire clean and even. No, no one can borrow them.

You are right! It didn't suck! It didn’t hammer either. I have it in a clamp with some glue, we will see how it goes.

sixdogs, did you buy that Echo pole saw? I've heard really good things about the Echo 2620 string trimmer, which probably has the same motor. I know that's a professional quality motor, so it should be good to go on the pole saw.

I've got a Stihl KM130 Kombi powerhead and use the pole saw attachment quite often for clearing the lower branches of cedar trees. It works great for that. It's more work than you'd think, but having the chainsaw on a stick sure keeps you from having to poke your arms, head and body into that tangle of lower branches to make a cut.

I don't physically have it yet and won't for several weeks, but I bought it. Don't need till fall so that's fine. Really looking forward to it. It will mostly cut smaller lower evergreen branches so should be more than fine.

I've had two for several years, with no problems I use one to reseat hubcaps without marring the metal, and they're great for that. I use another to seat snug-fitting horse hoof boots. So YMMV.

We have one we've been using for 2 or maybe 3 seasons of pounding cedar splits through our homemade version of a "Kindling Cracker", and aside from some superficial mars on the rubber, it seems to be holding up.

As someone else [?Six Dogs?] said, the day-glo orange deadblow hammers are my go-to for anything else I want to beat on without causing surface damage.

Here are the missing pics from post 9392. As mentioned, these are HF sidecutters I bought maybe 25 years ago and are the best I have ever owned. USA made stuff was not as good. Edges are straight and perfect and these things are not garage queens. In fact, I wire buffed them a few days ago so this is the best they've looked in a long time. They open and close as smooth as butter.



They don't seem to be in HF any longer. Not with the small size and finesse of these.

The Zurich scanner I'm referring to is the ZR11 that has a $119.99 coupon.
For $120 I'm thinking that it may be a great buy. I have been Torque Pro on Android for a long time, but it doesn't get in to the ABS system.
What I want to do is be able to drill down to what specific of the four wheel bearings or speed sensors is causing my fault rather than changing out $160 bearings and $40 sensors until I get lucky.

What brand vehicle do you have? If you have a Ford and a Windows laptop, get ForScan (free) and you can do all of that (and more).

Hahaha ... their zip tie failures seem almost legendary at this point. :laughing: It's amazing they still sell them.

My first batch weren't good, but since then they have been ok. Just bought some more.

I'm not a single brand kind of owner, but my current stable is a 93 Firebird OBD1 that I'm screwed on, 99 F350, 03 SVT Cobra, 04 Grand Prix, 14 Cruze, 14 Wrangler, 16 MKZ, 17 Ram, 17 Fiesta. Then I have my son and daughter in laws vehicles... And friends vehicles... And relatives vehicles. I'm never done messing with vehicles.

I need a drill a few weeks ago at work and it couldn't wait for me to bring one from home so I ran down to HF . They has the Bauer drill , battery ,charger and bag for 69.99 so i bought it. I have to say its as good as my dewalt . I broke a header bar on baler the day after I bought it and I removed and tightend 108 band bolts 2 times on one charge . plenty of torque on setting 1, Used it to replace some screws on the barn the other day. I am gonna try the battery impact wrench next .
