Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

It's a little thing, but when they come up on a coupon or sidewalk sale for cheap, those magnetic parts holders are good to have. I had one, and it was always in use when I needed it so I got a few more to have on hand. They were .99 on a coupon when I got them.

Well, at least you don't have lame music on your video....

I bet the Snap On one is imported..............

I love my "lame" music that I use in my videos! That said, given the quality of the steel, I doubt any of those hammers are made in China. There is a knock-off hammer that looks like my original for $15.00 from China but reviews complain that it isn't a real dead-blow hammer and other reviews complain about how fast the hammer heads mushroomed from the mind steal used in the hammer heads. The Stanley Tools 32 oz. version is $60.00 and this I think because of tooled steel and it is made the USA.

I prefer the rectangular ones they hold so much more, I don't recall seeing those on sale very often.
I last $$ purchase was one of the three ton aluminum jacks.
I'm pleased with it, it is a bit lighter feeling rolling around and positioning it,
but were it really shines to me know is when I'm having to pick it up, much nicer then the older steel ones,
especially with a bad shoulder.

OK, here we go again... HF tools that don't suck!

So I have a couple smaller buildings I need to put shingles on and I see HF has a couple Coil roofing nailers… anyone have any experience with them?

15deg Coil Roofing Nailer

11 Gauge Industrial Roofing Nailer

They have another one but its $199, if I'm going that deep in my pocket I'll get a real one

Been watching craigslist too but haven't seen any..

I have not used the coil roofing gun, but bought the older discontinued central pneumatic framing gun and the same staple gun.... both were horrible, constantly jamming and mis firing. Out of the two you listed, I would go with the Bauer. I have had people tell me they liked them and did not have much trouble with them.

I had Paslode guns when I was working professionally. A couple of years ago, I needed one in a pinch and bought a Husky brand framing gun from Home Depot. It has held up better than the Paslode, it has never missed a nail, never jammed. I have probably shot 20K nails through it without a glitch. Last year I bought a set of 4 Husky trim and staple guns. Never a problem with them either. They were a few dollars more than the HF ones. I do not know about the new HF brands they are carrying.

Not all the HD stores stock them. They do sell rebuild kits and pistons for them online. You might be able to get one....

If and when I need to get more, I will definitely get the Ridgid pneumatic guns. I now have a whole set of their cordless tools and 3 of their stationary tools. I am very impressed with the Ridgid tools.

The ONLY reason I looked was you linked it. Other than that you can remain not viewed far as I'm concerned. That way you can have all the lame music you want.

I have a Lisle myself and it's 20 years old and just peachy.

Well neither one I listed is a Bauer, one is a Banks and its close. I may look into a Huskey.. I just bought one of their tool belts with the suspenders and its a pretty nice set up.

When my 25 year old Porter cable framing nailer died a while back I splurged and bought one of the Dewalt 20v cordless framing nailers. Great little setup and I don't have to drag the compressor out all the time, my only complaint is that its heavy.. but I'm getting older so that may just be me!
