Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Log in to the FedEx site. You'll have to create a free account. Once in, you can see packages coming to your address and some options such as 'Hold at FedEx location'. You may or may not have to enter the tracking number. Mine are usually already there.

With the virus almost every package I get is off the truck long before I know they are here. Unless they need a signature they usually just knock on the door and not even wait for an answer before getting in their truck. Every time I've tried to do anything with changing a delivery I've been told that only the person paying for the delivery has the power. Since you pay HF and they pay FedEx they have to be the ones who stop it. If you have a tracking number and know about when they will show up you can be waiting to refuse delivery. If it's a large box it'll suck for the driver as they normally pack the truck in the order of their stops. Having a large box in their way for the rest of the day would not be fun. But I'm sure they will manage just fine. My guess is it'll be dropped off and you'll have to deal with having it shipped back.

I agree and why I wanted to buy this online since I didn't have to get it in and out of my compact SUV where it barely fit.
Lesson learned

Rechargeable AA and AAA batteries anybody?

I haven't had very good luck with anyone's, not even the name brands so I'd say pass on HF. Even their alkalines aren't very good.

Which is why I've suggested ways to stop it from getting on the route truck to begin with.
Refusing a delivery is common practice. It is annoying for the driver yes, but it's not putting the driver in the middle of it. Simplest, easiest solution if HF won't do anything on their end. And since he has a bad back... No lifting on his end. Don't feel bad for doing that. Then if they do drop it off even after utility leave a note...call the delivery company and inform them you wish to refuse delivery. Things do not need to be complicated...

This would be my strong recommendation.

There is a company named Batteries + Bulbs that has any battery imaginable and great service. My iPhone recently needed a battery and my wife took it in expecting a hassle but walked out in 10 minutes with a new battery installed. I've been in one of their stores years ago looking for an obscure bulb for a boat and they had it on the shelf. Incredible inventory and great customer service.

We have them here as well. Good service, but a little pricey. Fair though.

I do my own cell phone repair. I was disappointed that they wouldn't sell me just a screen. They said they could sell me a screen, but they'd have to charge me for the full service price. It was something like $80. I got the screen for $10 on line, but had to wait 2 days for it to get here. But for someone that doesn't do their own repairs, it's a great place.

My last employer did a lot of battery business with them.

So, those of you with organized tool boxes, what's your thoughts about socket organizers? Right now all of my sockets are in a single drawer, metric, standard and special all drive sizes all just in a heap... I likely have 10 10mm sockets but where? Here's links to the 3 options/styles from good ol HFT:

Fancy post style
Cheaper short post/tray style
Cheapest hole style

I'm leaning toward the middle option, I only included the standard version of the top two, bottom is metric and standard in one kit apparently. Top would obviously be nicer, slightly less wasted space but $50 for Metric and Standard, middle is $20 for metric and standard and bottom is $15.

On the other hand I just realized all options are likely not excluded from the 25% off coupon I just got emailed for this weekend, so if I send the wife through with one and I get one they'd be cheaper...

Still, opinions? $50 (or even $37.50 with discount) seems steep for organization...
