Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

The returns can be good, but sometimes the sale prices are better. I can't complain on either of my predator generators. The 2000 has been through hundreds of hours, storms, high humidity, etc. and still runs great.
And HF has moved to Dual Fuel too. An awesome move on their part!

I prefer propane over gasoline. If the genset was only used on propane, you can go years between a runtime without needing to do regular maintenance runs like gasoline.

My last maintenance run was 4 years later on the 9,800W genset.
It fired up on the first try!

A 60-gal or 100-gal tank or even a pair of the sizes would be a good investment for a backup. Propane really doesn't go bad.

The winches are showing their normal price and you take 40% off of that...
Thank you! Forgot to hit reply earlier.
Scored the 25oo for 50 bucks out the door.
A lot lighter then the 12k winch I got a couple of years ago for the tractor :)

NICE.

I grabbed a 2500-lbs on a BF deal a few years back for $44. Good to see you got a deal very close to mine. I can mount to the back or the front too. Just grab the mounting plate for a few $ more.

Anyone use " HF BAUER 20V Cordless, 3/8 in. Ratchet" and a dewalt battery? From what I had read it appears they are interchangeable. I have a few 2, 4, 5 amp dewalt batteries for my dewalt tools. I wouldn't mind a battery powered ratchet. Hate to buy extra batteries for different brands though.

I'm just curious, I've got one of the portable predator generators - do you run yours once a month whether an outage or not? Mine states in the manual to run monthly. I put a sticker on the handle to remind me, but sometimes I forget. Haven't had any problems yet but am scared if I don't run it then something nasty will happen? Thanks for your thoughts.

I like Propane also so bought a dual fuel Champion inverter gen. Sadly, it doesn't vary motor speed like a Honda EU or the Lifan unit I have that the mice got into. That Lifan was all enclosed and made a nice house for the critters. I bought the Champion because it's open station and hopefully not as hospitable for little varmints. Plus the Champion has nice large wheels and not the roller blade wheels on some of these units. I have yet to find the perfect reasonably priced unit.

I've heard concern that one reason to run the gen with a load, at least once a year, is so the gen head doesn't loose it's magnetic field which would mean no power.

I run mine about every 6 months. No problems yet. Stabil the fuel

Kinda.
the one that I keep at my house (5000 quiet) i run about once a month or so for 15 minutes to an hour. It runs well and it's push button start, making it much easier for me to be reliable on starting it.
The one (2000 queit) that keep on my property in another state only runs when I get there. It's supposed to be once a month but sometimes it's once ever 3 months. However, I've never had a real problem with other than it uses a teaspoon of oil if it's not perfectly level. It's hard to be sure it's perfectly level in the mountains and valleys.
