Hard to find parts for 950 or 1050? Please post here.

I am just trying to make sure I do not end up with a model where parts are hard to come by and knowing how many units were made, and what models the parts interchange with can really make the difference.
For the Yanmar-built Deeres, the Yanmar forum here can be a second resource for you. Chriswheeler and I have participated there for years, it's the basis for some of what we have shared here.

Because the gray-market Yanmars have zero support from Yanmar dealers or Yanmar-USA, information shared among this group of Yanmar owners has become the 'common knowledge' that keeps those 30~40 year old units viable. My Yanmars are USA models, sold new here before Yanmar closed its US dealerships, but like the ones built for Deere there is little information available on them today of the kind you are looking for. Aaron of HoyeTractor is a participant and probably has the best knowledge of which parts are used in common, also he will have good advice on which model tractors are unsupportable. Other participants, like Chriswheeler, have owned both Yanmar-built Deeres and Yanmars of either the gray or USA versions, so have similar information.

All of the models Yanmar built are incredibly durable and its rare to see someone post an unresolvable problem. Mostly the discussion is new owners asking 'how does this work' kind of issues, and sometimes there are posts asking for links to obscure parts like what Chriswheeler needed for his rebuild. Since I haven't seen anyone else answer you in this Deere forum, it might be worthwhile to ask some of the same questions over there.

That is good to know and I am beginning to have a much better understanding of the support/parts issue.

Thanks again. Great forum...
