When you turn the key on, how long does it take for the glow plugs to turn off ?

The thing that puzzles me is it runs well once it is running, and at the temperatures you say you are starting it in, the glow plugs shouldn't be that critical. I had a customer who was not having trouble starting the tractor, but it started very rough and smoked a bit after it started, and would gag you out of the garage. I solved his problem by convincing him to quit using the off road diesel he was getting on the Indian reservation. He said he had always run it in his Kubota with no problems, but I proved to him that his Mahindra 2015 didn't like it.

It sounds to me like a fuel delivery issue. Could be an injector issue?!

I have had 2 mahindras that behaved like this.
We replaced the glow plugs and wire brushed the metal rail that bonds them together, that cured the problem.

Once they are warm, they will start easy, even with the bad glow plugs.

Are you sure you put in the correct glow plugs???

took serial# and Model # to mahindra dealer and they ordered my glow plugs from those numbers. Also, I use good diesel not red dye from reputable staions, so I don't believe it is bad fuel. My problem out here is that the dealer that sold the tractor is a horse trailer place that no longer has a mechanic that works on mahindras(he moved to Texas!) Also john deere, kubota, and massey dealers here won't touch it. I'm on my own and ready to drive it off a cliff. Hard to look at it in the yard for almost a year after spending 17k. Thanks for all your continued help, Jeff (951)236-3974

Also, I will have to test duration of the glow plug timer in a day or two as the starter seized again for the third time and is currently being rebuilt(again).

I feel for you. My local dealer refuses to work on Mahindras that they did not sell. Personally I don't know how a manufacture will allow this as I'd yank the agreement back so quick it they wouldn't see it coming or going.

You might call around to some independent shops and see if someone can give you a hand. Also you might try calling some diesel shops and see if they have a field mechanic etc... Good luck

Is the electric transfer fuel pump working? air leak? if you bleed the fuel system when it wont start does it start right up are you getting air out anywhere? there also should be a intake manifold heater for starting, Is this a turbo charged 3015 or non turbo? maybe wrong glow plugs? but
I personally own a 3015 turbo and will start almost instant even when cold (15 to 20 deg) if you dont let the glow plugs cycle.

Electric fuel pump is working fine, can't find air leak, is non turbo and air intake manifold is hot.
