Here's my dirty L3700 after ten days since delivery and 12 hours on the meter. I did some bush hog work before our latest storm swept in and since then it's been road and vehicle recovery.

Wednesday we had 10" of rain and I pulled a Honda out of High Water in Gallows Bay and a Ford Ranger out of a ravine further down the mountain. The hard part was hooking the honda in three feet of moving water. We finally looped a chain inside the right front wheel and yanked her out.

The road needs much more work but if I can catch some dry weather, all will be good soon.

I'm at 675' elevation, 1320' from the water, as the crow flies. Things are steep around here. St. Thomas is 32 miles North and the net elevation change, mountain top to ocean bottom and back is 21,000 ft. Take that Grand Canyon!!!

Finally some sun today after a week and over 15" of rainfall.

Tractor good!

Looks good!
Glad that B'ota is working for you. I think you will get a lot of good out of it in the next few years.

I did a Military inspection on the island about a year or so ago and can tell you that
a- It is a beautiful view going up into the mountains and
b- scared the h_ll out of me driving as a passenger on the roads going up and down! (it didn't help that I felt like we were always in the wrong side of the road)

No doubt you will get an opportunity to see the world from some interesting angles.

Pics look good, would love to see some more in action.

IIRC, you mentioned in one of your other threads you were looking for more stability. By looking at your rims in the first pic there are at least two steps further those rear tires can go out. First would be to move the inner wheel disc to the inside of the wheel loops (would give about 2" more on each side), second option would be to move the tires to opposite sides and mount the tires on the outside of the wheel disc (probably 4"+ on each side.) Maybe you were planning on doing this and hadn't gotten around to it, it does tell about all this in the manual.

You're absolutely correct! The weather hit and so did my need to put the machine to work. I've been gingerly operating in the meantime and have avoided trouble. Rubber will get stepped out and filled first chance I get. The rubber is the only thing around here, not full of water. We are back in it this AM with another 1.23" in the last 45 minutes.

Very envious. Nice pics.

Curious, is there a tractor dealer on the island?

No, no dealer any closer than Florida Coast Equipment, 1,200 miles away. One must simply take their chances on warranty issues. Minor stuff I am prepared to take care of on my own nickel. If I had a major problem, at $1700 each way, transport cost, I'd be in trouble. One would think that with proper documentation, Kubota would probably participate with a local, qualified mechanic performing the work. I hope I don't need to find out!

We get turned into Gray Market on many, many things as warranties are only good in the 50 states. I had a Dell Computer go bad, purchased in the states but as far as a warranty claim went, they told me I had to deal with Dell, Latin America, in Mexico City if I recall.....

We are by the way, an Unincorporated U.S. Territory. We share this dubious relationship with Uncle Sam with American Samoa and Guam, in the Pacific. We are U.S. citizens but that's about it, not to say that is not important. The U.S. Navy ran the place until 1963 and since we operate under The Organic Act, an act of congress that gives us limited status as a real place.

How many I don't know. I made 65 last May!

Good thing it doesn't get cold here. Were it N.H. we would have had 400 inches of snow since August:D
