Harvest seed from pasture?

I've got some nice areas of clover/grass pasture with seedheads starting to grow now. Any recommendations on how to collect/harvest the seeds?

I found about a quart of wild grass seed on the deck of my brush hog after mowing the field yesterday.

I have, when I was younger, harvested much seed to replant with a pair of scissors. It is a lot of work but works just fine. I would clip the seedheads and put them into a brown paper bag, cardboard box or old bed sheet. Then, let them finish drying and store until ready to replant.

Let the seed heads get mature before you start or you will do lots of work for possibly nothing.
