Has anyone adjusted the Loader Relief valves, or the system PSI ???

For the LS I think you can just disconnect the hydraulic QC hoses for the loader and plug in a gauge then operate the handle (it could be the same on other tractors also) the set pressure should show on the gauge.

Anyone know where the adjustment would be made on the LS if it was under spec ... specifically?

I think it is on the hydraulic distribution block. This is under the tractor at the end of the high pressure (smaller) line off of the pump.

On your 47 it is on the loader valve under the right side floor pan. LS says the pressure should be anywhere from 2300-2400 psi factory. I have bumped it up a little on a couple of tractors cause the pressure was too low. Mostly what I do is put a gauge on the remote valve and check the pressure there. There is a jam nut with an allen head screw. Just back off the jam nut and turn in the allen head. Just go a little at a time as a 1/4 turn makes a big diff. I put them at about 2600 psi. 2600 psi seems to be an industry std. You would be amazed at the difference that 100 psi makes on your lift capacity and the operation of the FEL and other attachments.

This is the exact same process and position as on my Kioti DK45. The only difference is my pressure is higher at 2702 PSI.

Remember, adjusting your relief valve will only put extra strain on your FEL on the really heavy lifts. Under normal operation, your hydraulics will never know you've increased your relief valve setting.

Ok we're talking about two different things right ... ? Adjusting overall system PSI, and adjusting the loader relief valves?

TSO - your owners manual shows the Hydraulic system layout. From what I can see, the loader valve handles system pressure. It would make sense that you only need one pressure relieve on the system, and it needs to be before all valves in order to work properly.

In general, a tractor with a hyd sytem will come from the factory with a relief valve.

On some tractors the relief is on a hyd block, and it provides relief for the 3pt.

On others, it is in the 3pt area.

If one adds a loader, that valve has a relief valve, and it depends on where you tap into the system for the hyd for the loader.

The first valve in the series flow path with relief should provide the rest of the system with relief pressure and the other relief valves can be set the same the first valve.

If the flow goes to the loader firet, then the loader will be the master relief.

Some tractors will have up to 3 relief. Loader, 3pt , remote valve.

If say a log splitter is plugged in to the hyd system, it has it's own relief valve.
