Has anyone else here played with Google Earth?

One odd thing I noted in using Google Earth was that in some areas, the photos were taken at different times of year so you see greenery adjacent to Fall/Spring photos. Accurate but weird.

Does anyone know how to tell exactly when different photographs were taken? Is that a documented feature?

Try local terraserver for access to the terraserver images with a better interface than terraserver.

Interestingly all the services have my driveway listed as an extension of the road that is across from our drive at the bottom of hill. They changed the name from East to West. And my address shows up about a mile east of the actual location.

They must all be using the same database. I sent a note to a couple of the sites and never got a reply.

I wonder if I could use this to get the county to maintain my drive /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

If you look at my house on this site. My garage is not there. I had this built in 1992. I'd be very weary of looking at property to purchase using this website.

Same here. My house was built in 1993. I was surprised to see how many changes have taken place since these arial shots were taken. New streets and development areas are not shown yet.

Is there any way to tell when the satellite photos were taken? Is there a standard code and way of accessing that code through the software?

I have played with it, but the maps are a few years old. I don't use it anymore because I want pictures of outlying areas and Google doesn't do that, only the major cities.
