Take it easy and keep plowing ahead steady with purpose. Slow it down a little and enjoy the ride. I remember long ago soon after I got my John Deere garden tractor (my first rider) I would bomb around as fast as I could to mow the lawn. I was so happy and proud I cut so much off of my time.
After a few summers my ex's very rural uncle and family came visiting from South Dakota. He was a rancher and was a bronc rider at rodeo events. A bit of an idol to me. He owned large tractors and other farming implements.
I was pulling out my little rider to mow my 3/4 acre suburban lawn. He walked over (bull legged) and asked if he could ride 'her'. I was a bit embarrassed. He took a good look at the wheels, all of the controls (not many) and proceeded to mow the entire lawn so slow I couldn't believe it. I thought WTH... what is wrong? I was almost painful to watch.
When he finished I asked him why he was going so slow? He said, 'what would be my hurry... I ain't going anywhere'.
I think I am finally understanding where he was coming from.
Yep, but I have always been attack . . . probably not the best idea at my age.
