I was rather perturbed when I paid $100 for the service manual from Kubota for my 3301... and found that it's on normal printer paper. I wanted something that I can use for the next 10-15 years, not treat with kid gloves and keep stored on the shelf by my desk. I do scan and print the pages I need so that I can take them to the tractor, whereas all that you need to do is print those necessary pages off.
I definitely prefer the PDF versions of the operator manual, as well as the workshop manual. I take a lot of notes in the PDF operator manual, and highlight various things.
I bought the Kubota printed manual for my previous L3410 for a similar amount, and was a little upset that it was a poor copy machine job done at the dealer in a budget 3 ring binder.
