YEP.

A payroll tax withholding change, probably could have been implemented without a new bureaucracy being stood up to "move" "money" around.

I think a certain “orange man” tried to do that.

the gov't is printing money and throwing out with abandon... i'm not smart about money, but this printing it like crazy has got to have some sort of negative impact..

the main one i can think of (more like a guess) is that the inflation of money supply will push up the cost of goods. that 30k tractor will go to 32, 35 then 40k in this example...
so, buying one now, if you can get a deal looks like an excellent plan.
i've told the wife that we will be getting an extra tractor if the price is right.

i'd rather have a tractor or other thing that lasts a long time than the money in the bank, losing it's purchasing power.

All true, but some here on TBN are convinced that new tractor sales will keep rising.
With 36+ million people ALREADY on unemployment, can someone explain to me how many of them will be buying new tractors?
Perhaps if you can prove that you DO NOT have a job/income, tractor manufacturers will just blindly approve your credit request?
That does not seem even remotely logical!
Banks will surely want to confirm ability to pay.

If you really think about who isnt working and really think about who buys tractors. Good bad indifferent farmers are still farming, I know we hear the sob stories from farmers and frankly I dont know what to make of those and not discrediting them. After farmers is your homeowner that can afford a tractor which is a luxury and not really a necessity per say, these people are still working and or have money. Bulk of layoffs is low paying service industry jobs. I see the unemployment numbers and their huge, realitiscally I know two people that got cut and they are making more sitting at home.

I have family members without jobs...no job...no health insurance. These were not low paying jobs.

I think you will find the job market and loss, different in each locality.

But 36 million people out of jobs, that's catastrophic. And the ramifications have yet to be fully realized.
