Has anyone started cutting hay yet?

Come on, someone down south should have started cutting by now. Where are the pictures? I need my fix as I won't start cutting for at least another month.

We have customers mowing and baling small grains for haylage. The McHale wrappers and being sold a rented this time of the year. It is raining today, that is Money in the bank!

Not yet, but the grasses are growing nice and green.

Got some Festulolium that's close to being ready to cut. Still cold here. 38 this morning. It's slowing the crop down. Need some rain too. Winds been blowing for two weeks now. If it rains and heats up a little it'll be an early hay crop here. Orchard grass is heading at 12 inches. Cold stunted it.

Its snowing like crazy here. About 4 inches on the ground after about an inch of rain. Should make the grass grow one of these days if the sun ever comes out.

I'm sure they'll going at it this week.. def. tall enough. I put the sickle on this weekend to test out some welding that had been done to it.. the steers line up at the fence waiting for me to dump the grass/clover mix.

I wanted to yesterday, but with showers in the forecast for Thursday and the temp as cool as it is I was afraid it wouldn't be cured by the time I had to bale it. Hope it's not like last year, by the time I got the weather it was way too big.
