Been bad dry here in NE Texas. The Bermuda hasn't cranked up yet so our first cutting will probably be mainly left over Rye and Fescue. We'll get that off to clean up the fields and make way for the Bermuda (moisture permitting)

It's ready here in W. PA but with a chance of showers in the forecast for the next several days, nobody is starting.

I started cutting last Sunday. Been a real challenge with the cool temps. Just finished cutting late this afternoon. Had my winter coat on and gloves to boot. It was 47 when I finished and a stiff north wind. Supposed to be in the mid 70's tomorrow and close to 80 on Sunday. Gonna start hauling the rolls in tomorrow to stack in the barns. Hope to finish baling Sunday.

Hi, cut about 3 acres on Monday with my L3010, got an old Ford 301 sickle bar mower, does a pretty good job. Yea its some good quality seat time until the baling starts. I'm using a old MF # 3 baler which is wore out. It refuses to tie more than a dozen bales in a row. I had two short windrows left when the rear u-joint let go last nite. At least the Kubota runs good...

Have a good day.

Just cut the first ten acres tonight finished up about 10PM. if the weathers right I'll ted it first light tommorow and see how it does. I probably could have waited another week as cool as it's been but then it all would have been stacked up more than normal. I JUST WANTED TO GET IT BEFORE THE WEEVILS AND APHIDS DID!!! Baling em out is cheaper than spraying them out. I ordered one of those proprionic rigs last week and it was subposed to be here yesterday but the shipping company messed up. looks like i'm doing the first ten the old fashioned way. Mine was lodging bad so it was time to start doing some thing. If I waited for the weather I guess my first cutting would be about July

I took delivery of my swather the other day and did about 100 acres of wheat/rye. What a blast, nothing like cutting at 10.4 mph with this thing.
