Btw, I saw Slime in Walmart in two different versions. Tube-type repairs and Tube-less type, in a gallon jug. Jy.

I use slime in all my offroad tires except the tractor. Guaranteed it will be a mess when I go to replace the tires in a few years, and if I have to pass a few bucks extra to the tire guy thats fine by me. This stuff stops nail/screw holes, sticks, prickly ash and buck thorn from getting me stuck.

I get back to the house, use pliers to remove whatever is stuck in the tires and take a quick tour on my (clean) trail.

The big thing I have found is when you fill up ... go for a drive for 5-10mins afterwards to get it spread around in the tire. If you don't do that you may not catch the hole and in storage it'll just leak again.

Love it, Use it in the 4 wheeler (and the tractor as of today).

I had a flat on my tractor the second day I owned it. If it were not for slime I would probably have a flat every time I pulled the tractor out of the shop. When I bought my ranger the dealership added slime to the tires no charge. In south Texas it is pretty much a necessity. I have never had any complaints from tire guys, most shops offer to put it in at cost.

it works best with rims that are joined halves if you ever have to replace a wadded tire as it is easier to clean them.

Seems to work best on low pressure tires like my ATV. I have pulled nails out of the tires and no flat.. For a very slow leak in a higher pressure tire, A mechanic at the Honda shop uses plain old antifreeze. He says it will stop a very slow leak. Never tried it.

I used it in my craftsman tractor before I sold it and it seemed to work ok - By that I mean it slowed the slow leak even more - Only needed pumped once every 2 months or so. I have friends that use a type of it (Stan's) in mountain bicycle tires and they swear by it. i would imagine you would need a heck of a lot for rears on a "B" or bigger tractor. Keep in mind if the leak is near the rim some has to get to it to clog it. That means if you are planning to put it a little you might as well save your dough.

Have used slime in several tires - everything from smaller mower tires to front wheel tractor tires - backs would take a lot, but would try it. Had a couple bigger holes that it wouldnt work on, so I also keep a plug kit handy.

We live away out from town, so if I had to take a tire off, take it into town, lose the time, etc for every flat, it would add up. Is nice to deflate the tire, pump some slime in it, then air it back up and good to go...

Of course, I never find the flat except when I need the equipment, so is nice to fix and get to work...
