on the ford 555c TLB i have. the bucket hooks look something like below image.
with bucket fully curled downwards, the chain hook in the back works nicely, and if i have something in the bucket (carrying something some place) i have the D are of the handle to wrap chains or straps into.)
/ Has anyone tried welding chain hooks onto a piranha tooth bar?
BXpanded makes very nice Quick-On Hooks specifically for the BX series tractors. No welding, no drilling, easy to install or move around. No additional reinforcement needed. Quick-On Bucket Hooks
Cheers!

Thanks for the explanation, and taking my criticism wel l:thumbsup: There are a lot of new operators who view TBN and I don't want then to think that's OK, that's all!
Hehehe, I fully expected to be flamed for such a pic having no ballast. I would criticize someone for what I did too... I'm sure it wouldn't have looked quite so bad with an extra 5PSi in the front tires (I generally run 15PSI on the hill and 20PSI doing loader work). The backhoe is a bit under 1500# and the loader capacity is something like 2400#, so other than the positioning of the load, it technically wasn't overloaded. With the weight hanging so far out I wasn't sure it would lift it. I figured I'd latch on and see if it complained, and had the trailer setting ready and close if it seemed ok. Fact I as going for the lesser of two evils, loader work with no ballast versus overloaded trailer 34 miles down the freeway, I figured I could garner a little forgiveness from the members here.

Kubota B8200, then a Kubota L3130 HST, now a Kubota L3400 HST
Being "thrifty" I opted for HF $5 forged hooks. They are bolted onto some thick steel, with lots of reinforcement bracing built into the bucket by Kubota, and I figure their "10,000 lb" rating will be adequate for whatever lifting force they are subject to. Grab hooks would be nice, but I use these with nylon load straps for some purposes, and just having secure attachment points for chain is a good start. I have added a 5000 lb "D" ring to the top center inside the bucket since I took this photo, and that has proven very handy when I had to lift heavy stuff.

I received my hooks and hardware from Kenny at "Bolt-on Hooks" and they are fantastic but his service is even better. Another very satisfied customer, you will be too.
