I think the rules state over 120 gallons in a single tank you must meet hazmat stuff. If you pay attention almost all truck bed tanks are 119 gallons. This is for a reason.

and by hazmat regs.. I read that to mean cdl, etc.. correct?

I don't know if you must have a CDL in order to have the Haz-Mat endorsement or not. Up here you don't, but down there may be different.

CDL HAZMAT requires a background check. I dropped my endorsement because the fee was $100. (probably more now?) and I didn't need it anyway.
If you just go with 55 gal barrels you should be OK.
They are selling the 55 gal DOT blue barrels on CL here for $15-25.

yep.. looks like 119g is the limit for no issues.

means 2 55g drums i guess.
