Looking for some input from those who use a dump trailer to haul thier bota.
I just sold my 16' flat bed and replaced it with a Holmes 6 x 12 dump trailer.
I haul my 7510 regularly in the winter for snow removal. I use the bucket and the rear blade.
Obviously there was no problem fitting my tractor on the equipment trailer, and although it fits in the dump trailer, something has to hang over...
I have barn doors that when open dont' lay back against the trailer side dlat due to the wheel fenders.
When loaded forward I use to lay the bucket flat on the bed, this method allows me to bind the tractor down easily to the front of the trailer using the front tractor guard. Thgis is how the dealer does it. Ther is no movement of the tractor.
With the new trailer the blade sticks out 10" forcing the gates to be "bungeed together"
I can roll the bucket over the front of the trailer, but then I need front and rear binders and there could be forward /backward movement. ANd I KNOW I'll forget its there and back up into it when backing a tight corner.
I can back into the trailer, but sets the center of gravity off, although on this traile, most load is over the wheels, but reduces tongue weight.
Any thoughts..
Yeah I know I need pictures, I actualy test loaded it today, had the camera in my pocket and forgot to snap them. Was unloaded and away when I rememebered.
Any thoughts
More pics to come..
