Had a fellow at work who I can remember hobbling around with a bad hip for a long time. Finally decided to get a new one, and I swear he shed 10 years. Looked like he was ready for the dance floor and said he felt great.

Ten years I could handle, now throw in about 40 lbs. less and I'll have it done tomorrow. :thumbsup:

My wife's grandmother had her hip replaced at 95 years young. Kept her walking till she passed.

Called the Dr. office today, asked them to schedule the surgery. Waiting to hear back, I sure don't want to wait and mess up my summer.

Had an appointment with the Dr. today, new hip joint will be installed 2/28. He does the replacement through the front, supposed to be easier recovery. I'll be on walker approx two wks, then cane for about the same time, therapy twice a week. Sure looking forward to gettin rid of the pain.
