HI,

A difference I noticed is that now I have to log in everytime I come back to tbn, but before I did not.

I used to turn off my laptop and then turn it back on and I would get a "welcome back..." but now I get nothing and have to log back on EVERY time from what I can see...

Another thing...I have edited posts and had the text go all red for some reason. The first time Bird corrected it. The second time I noticed it before hitting the final continue button and fixed it myself...

Bill, I don't know what makes the difference. I never log off, so I never have to log on again. But when the new changes were first made, I found I was not logged on, so had to look up my password and log on, but I haven't had to log on again, even when I turn the computer off for the night. Would it have something to do with the cookies (that I never understood anyway)?

I have the same problem, don't know what causes it but it would be better if i did not have to log on each time.
Not a big deal but a minor inconvience /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Bird,

That is the way it used to be for me too...now for some reason it seems different.

Each time I turn my computer on I have to log back in...or so it seems. I will keep an eye on it, but before posting that message I did not turn the computer off, but simply closed IE and started it again, and when I went to TBN I had to log back on again.

I did change my bookmarks too...whether that made a difference or not I have no idea.

Logging back on is not a big deal, but I liked it better when the screen just welcomed me back.

Now I do have a different display name...maybe that is why. Used to be my login name and display name was the same.

Maybe that is why...

Food for thought, anyway.

Actuallly I like the fact that you log in everytime. If your computer is at home and no one else can get to it the automatic login would be great. But my computer is where 80 people can get to it and I don't like the idea of everyone having access to it. I have 80 people working for me and I am sure there is a few that don't like me and would just love to make a mess of discussions here. My posts level would go up but I may not have any friends left here.

Log on. Delete old bookmark or favorites link. Save new bookmark or link. Works for me. I'm thinking that's why there's a message at time of home page "Notice: Please Update Your Bookmarks..."

Hi,

After going back and once again deleting my bookmarks and updating again...

I realized what I was doing wrong! Guess I should have opened my eyes wider!

Turns out I forgot to check the "Remember me each time I visit" box /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Simple is as simple does comes to mind. Not sure what that means but that is what I feel like at the moment.
