Have you had troubles finding ammunition ? 12 gauge and .22 ?

Looking to replace my pistol with a different one (not because of all the anti-gun frenzy, I was thinking about it for awhile) and stopped in yesterday at about 11 in the morning at a shop in Gresham.

Floor space is about 20X30. The place was packed and they had a line with 15-20 people waiting to talk to a clerk. A lady called out that if you were just coming to look you didn't need to wait in line. No one moved.

Today, I stopped at Fisherman's Marine, a large outdoor store. Their counter is maybe 30 feet long, 3 shelves each. The bottom 2 shelves were empty and there were probably no more than 20 pistols on the top shelf. And hardly any ammo in stock--I saw no pistol ammo.

Next they will go door to door taking names and handing you a card with your registration info for your local FEMA camp !

i'm not sure what land of milk and honey you live in.. but primers, and powder here are almost unavailable!

no problem here in N Idaho. All stores are loaded with both.

Most have sales on bulk purchases going on right now.

Prices are higher than they were a few months back. and personally im not one to stockpile it. have enough for plinking, target practice and such.

I got some 9mm last week to practice with my new carry gun, and was surprised to see all the people obviously stockpiling ammo. was kind of funny...and sad at the same time.

Compared to the $23 I paid at Walmart for 550 22 LR and what some have posted...and what I have seen on the internet...you are exactly right..I saw $167.00 for 300 rnds. 22 LR today on one of the internet ammo sites and some a lot higher than that...pure price gouging....I won't pay it.

thats nuts. my local store has a 5,250 round can of 22LR for $159.00 (Blazer brand). saw it yesterday.

Other parts of the country are going nuts.

I was in our nearest Walmart earlier today and the employee in the Sporting Goods section was just putting up 600 rounds of 9 mm ammo that he said just came in. They had been out. And they are still out of .38 ammo.

So just out of curiosity, I stopped by another Walmart and they had one box of 50 rounds of .38 ammo; no 9 mm.

i checked our local walmart today.

they got in 2 boxes of 45acp.. 1 boc of 40sw 2 boxes of 380aco, 1 box of 38spl and 25 boxes of 762x39

10 minutes later all but the 45acp and 380 was gone.

they show a massive (2) boxes of 223 at the warehouse and expect delivery in 2-3 weeks

all jacketed rounds.

also had crates of 22,38,tons of 45 (bought 500 of that also) and much more. I guess were getting all the country's ammo up here in the great northwest.

ps: i'll never step a foot into any Walmart....ever

I shoot competitive pistol.. so I maintain a stock of a "few" months of supply.......
I am really worried as I recently noticed that I dippped into the double digits in powder weight and 5 digits of primers....

I cleaned out the truck back seat earlier and there was 300 rounds of .40 practice and 140 rounds of .45 practice..
looks like I may have to reload some before the match Saturday...
