another reason im glad i DONT live in New York. Bloomberg is controlling their soda, junk food and now guns. Soon he'll want to inspect your underwear for stains.
Have you had troubles finding ammunition ? 12 gauge and .22 ?

Bloomberg is NYC mayor but yes seems not that the city ideas are taking over the state.

I'm not in NY., but it got me to thinking about my 9 shot 22 revolver............where would that fit in?

Just 7 bullets in mag of 10, is the law, if you get caught , arrested and confiscation of guns. According to the way law reads any over 10 is banned. Up-state never, never votes this stuff in because they throw up-state in with New York City and because they have a much higher population then us up-state we always get trampled over because of vast difference in populations. Upstate always looses even though we have always had rifles and side arms for hunting and protection we just get out- voted by the politicians from New York City. It's always been that way we don't like it and never did , just don't have a enough votes to change it.We in up-state N.Y. hunters and believers of The 2nd Amendment just got the biggest screw job in my years of living there. I truly feel sick over it. So many of us spend the three days that we knew about this bill , writing to every and all politicians voicing our oppositions to this gun grabbing law, it did no good. The best of luck to all the other states, but as we all know monkey see monkey do.

It is the wave of the future. Here in California, the greater San Francisco Bay area and the greater Los Angeles area trump the rest of the state. Like Pelosi and Boxer getting re-elected. Majority of their votes came from those regions.
Unfortunately every attempt to split this state has failed early. Last state to split was what, Virginia in the 1863?

on way to gun show, let you know the amount of ammo I find. Really going for 22ammo, and reloading supplies

good luck!.. report back what you found. there isn't a .22 LR in Harrison Ar. I found 6 boxes (300 rounds) of .22 shorts had just come in to Wal Mart. I asked about when the truck would come in, and he said sure the truck would come in tonite, but there wont be anything on it in the way of .22 LR cartridges. He said the 6 boxes of .22 shorts came in last night and we are lucky to have them. We haven't had a .22 LR cartridge in over 2 weeks. Most of the rest of the shelves were bare, there were a few 12 gauge more 20 gauge, and some 16 gauge shells, but very few of anything else. All the popular cartridges were gone. I didn't see any 9mm. and all the pistol calibers shelves were bare.

NYS released the list of weapons NOT considered assault weapons;includes normal ten shot mag pistols,Glocks,S&W,Springfield ect.

Birdman check this out, for the latest on magazines. This is an UN-answered question about magazines, not if 1911's are assault weapons but the magazines that go into them that hold more then 7 rounds. One of the questions asked ; Q: How many rounds can I put in my magazine today?
A: Ten. Starting on April 15, 2013, you are limited to putting in seven rounds, unless you are at an incorporated firing range or competition recognized by the National Rifle Association or International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association, in which case the limit is ten
