Have you heard of Branson before?

Has anyone heard of Branson tractors before? I was at my local Case IH dealer and they had some in the yard. They look pretty good but I've never heard of them before. The person working at the dealership has one and he never had anything better.

There are two different models available. The 35hp F3550 and the 43.5hp F4350. Both are 4wd and come with the following standard equipment:

Yes, Branson are Korean made tractors. Branson Tractor is a division of a Trion, GA based company, Dragon Tractor Corporation... last I heard these tractors were manufactured by Kukje Machinery Co., LTD, who also manufactur the John Deere 5410/5510 tractors (not sure which market those make it to, if not the US) … and I think the Branson tractors are also sold in Europe under another name.

In any event, the Branson tractors have been called 'modern' in terms of features but I have yet to hear one field report about either model, or from any owners. What is the price range of these machines? I would compare the machines, and then consider parts/service support down the line.

I'm not interested in buying one of these tractors because when and if I need something new I buy as much John Deere as possible. For the F4350 the price is between $33,000 and $40,000 dollars for just the tractor. I heard this from someone else(not the dealer)so I don't know how acurate it is.

I thought John Deere were primarily made in the US. What part of a 5410 is Korean manufacturer? Somehow this doesn't match the ad in the brochure.

I live in Trion Ga where the Branson's are distributed from. They appear to be well made but have no service history and limited dealerships. The only ones I have seen have gear transmissions. Buy at your own risk is my theory on this one!

I don't know where you got your prices but on the eastern farm machinery site the 35 is listed at 17290.00 and the 43hp at 19427.00 (who pays list price????). They use Mistsubishi and Yanmar engines.
