Having tradtor hauled.

I'd be contacting friends who own trailers that would haul it for you for less. Maybe they would haul it for an invite to a cookout and some liquid refreshment.

Yeah, I am kind of under the gun with my loader warranty running out in 3 weeks. Most people I know are like me, only have trailers with 3,500 lb axles under them. These Mahindra's are heavy! Mine with loader and hoe weighs 8,000lb. I could drop the backhoe, but would still have to borrow trailer, because my trailer is extremely heavy and has old tires on it! If I had time I might get tires and drop hoe. But, it would still be over loaded.

Bumper pulls with dual 5-6k Axles have been my main go to with these size tractors and even people that are looking at compacts just incase they upsize down the road.

Yeah, I have looked at them a couple of times and just did not pull the trigger. I guess this will get me moving faster on that. I had a small tractor before I got this one and had plenty of trailer, but I guess it is time to sell and buy something larger.

Alafarm, sorry to hear about your problem. My neighbor's LS had a hydrolic leak and the dealer sent a mechanic 30 miles one way at no charge. I think that this is reasonable if they want to maintain any good will. I certainly wouldn't want to wait on any leak, especially with the warranty running out. Good luck with your problem.

What was the charge for the way back and how long did he have the tractor when this happened

Less than a year. I don't know what the length of the warranty is for this brand of tractor. The answer to your question is it was basically a new/delivered unit. If you are asking if there was a return charge..the answer is no. The mechanic came to his house and fixed the problem...no transport. Actually it was a leaking hydrolic hose and needed to be tightened. My neighbor suspected that was the problem, but it was a new unit after all. I really appreciated my dealer taking my tractor out and using it before he shipped it to me. That's the way to do it in my opinion. Many times the dealer is not in our town so checking it out under pressure is a wise move. Hope that helps.

I looked at the LS, but the dealer keeps switching tractors he carries and did not act like he wanted to sell me one. Same reason I did not buy a Deere. That and they could not get me a teir 3. I hope I don't regrete buying a Mahindra. I really like the tractor except for the very slow hydraulics and all the leaks. Concerned about it not have grease fitting on anything. I had a Yanmar small trator and everything that moved had a grease fitting!

That is understandable with it just being delivered. The same would have happened with the Mahindra if it had been under 30 days since the purchase

That's what I had to do. Had 7K trailers for many years and hauled many tractors, cars, trucks, etc. usually at or slightly over the capacity of the trailer. I finally upgrade to a 14K tilt bed. You probably need a 12K trailer to haul 8K.
