The Dairy shutdown here in '03 and a new Gardner-Denver Sutorbilt Legend Blower, being used as a vacuum pump, was installed a few years before shutting down. The problem is my wife finally ran out of grease for it and she still has one of the Holsteins from the Dairy herd that makes more milk than her calf can take and has to milk her every other day for about a month until the calf can take it all. The empty grease cartridge is labeled Cononco Tacna Rx No. 2. I can't find it anywhere. I emailed Gardner-Denver last week but have received no help from them.

I did find an MSDS sheet on the grease as I think they have to keep those available, but no one around here carries Conoco,

ConocoPhillips Tacnaョ Rx NLGI No. 2

She has plenty of John Deere Multi-Purpose SD Polyurea Grease but not sure it meets the requirements.

The Sutorbilt manual says to grease it every 500 hours but it sits for long periods. It says use NLGI Grade 2 EP grease and the blower discharge temp up to 350 degrees. Bare in mind the longest it runs for one cow and cleaning out the system when finishing is maybe 20-30 minutes but it needs to greased.

I forget how thousands my late FIL spent on the blower/vacuum pump so she can't afford to replace it but can't do without it as long as she has her favorite cow is around.

That will work just fine. Meets all the requirements.

The Conoco grease is a lithium complex based grease. The JD is a polyurea based grease. They are not compatible.
Select a lithium complex based grease at your local provider.

.
Check out Mobil 1 synthetic or Amsoil synthetic grease.
Why not just milk the cow by hand in a bucket, would be quicker and you wouldn't have to clean out the milker or pipe line.

Because the system will last longer if it's run occasionally, there's a lot pumps, pulsators, gaskets, inflations and so forth that needs to exercised some IMO. She can out milk most people by hand but prefers to machine milk her. If you got it you might as well use it.

Here's 2 Amsoil part numbers for 14oz tubes: GWRCR & GLCCR. I believe they are both Lithium based grease. After reading the spec sheet for your grease it's plain wheel bearing/ chassis grease which doesn't have Moly . You should be able to get that just about anywhere. The GWRCR Amsoil oil grease is a nice blue and the Mobil 1 synthetic grease I said about is red/pink in color. Check the spec sheet on the amsoil grease and see if it suits.
What breed of cow does your wife have. I like Brown Swiss, they give chocolate milk you know:licking:

Thanks, as I said the Dairy shutdown in '03 but she still has one pure Holstein. All their milking herd was Holstein. Now she has over 50 head of beef cattle, most are a Holstein and Hereford cross.
