Has anyone seen the non-Midwest First Choice Landscape implements yet. They had promised to ship by March 1 but is that 2004? I have yet to see a Hawkline rotary cutter at a dealership. There is a few Hawkline box blades & trailers floating around. Can someone enlighten me on the facts about these companies?

I'm sure that if you want to know the answers you could just call up the companies involved and they'd tell you. But why are you casting aspersions on your competitors? Why not just tell us how good your own product is, or better yet, become a sponsor, and buy an ad?

I've never bought anything in my life from a person or company that spends so much time criticizing the competition.

Will

OK Jim Harrick,JR.
If you look I purchase advertising on TBN. It is evident when you see the subject matter in your link you have an affinity for Sweet Tractors. This is a fine dealership. Previously it had been announced that First Choice & Hawkline would be introducing new products in March. All I did is ask if someone had seen them, nothing more nothing less.

What aspersions? I happen to know the man is honest , fair and not what you make him out to be. You must have read something that I did not (perhaps imaginary and between the lines). And by the way, you cannot see, touch and feel implements by making a phone call! I suggest you reread the original post.

Maybe I was in a grumpy mood when I read

I'll agree that isn't the nastiest thing I've ever read. I guess I've read many posts over the last year from CCI about possible shipping problems, repair problems, unfair pricing problems, and production problems with various manufacturers. At first I thought this was just a matter of being a skeptical and cautious consumer, but all of this concern struck me as kind of artificial and self-serving once I figured out that CCI was in the implement selling business himself.

CCI: I see your company banner ad at the top of the page, so you are certainly doing more than me to support this excellent site.

Re: Hawkline & First Choice:Just what is available

Open forum. Freedom to speak. What a great country. I suppose thats why we have thousands of young troops in Iraq. Frankly, I think its great to have both consumer and dealers participate on this web site. Each and all are able to post what they want. Each can absorb or reject all or part of what is said. This truly is a great country. As for CCI, I have also dealt with him personally and found him to be very up front and acutually to be respsectful of other dealers. However, if Will has a different opinion, and even though I or others may not agree, I/we should not be critical of him for posting his thoughts, only try to determine the basis of them to determine for ourselves there validity. It sounds as if there was a little misunderstanding as to the reason and purpose of the original post. And from my perspective, I frankly think it is a good idea and welcome dealer questions because it give us all potential additional insight as to what is going on in the market place. The fact CCI may have some history of asking a certain type of question seems reasonable to me given he is in fact a dealer and his inqueries would necessarily be coming from a different perspective than the ordinary consumer. Bottom line...I personally hold respect for CCI based upon my dealings with him, but think its great that we have a forum where all can bring to light their perspectives, and yet keep an open mind about it, which is what I think Will has done. My hats off to both of you, and God bless this country.

Thanks, Slippy
I'm competitive and so are most of the other dealers on TBN. We know we will not survive if we do not go after the market. I don't hide my opinions and do not want too. I sure want my competition to know I am open to helping them if needed.
