Any recommendations for a baler for the ct235? PTO HP requirements for older used balers are a little hard to find. I would think the 26.5 HP on the ct235 pto is not going to be enough for most balers. Thoughts?

I run a JD24T with my Kioti CK25HST. It's not the fastest setup, but works well on my flat acreage. Videos on YouTube. I only have 20hp @ the PTO. Your tractor should be about the same weight so no problem there (I leave my FEL on). You'll read many comments about the risk of "plunger force" destroying the PTO. I plan on doing only 300 or so bales per year and don't believe the force is something the Bobcat/Kioti PTO can't handle.

Thanks for the info. Let me ask a rookie question...what is plunger force?

I've had a MF 24, but now have a NH 315 and a NH 278, and all three books recommend 30 HP minimum. I think you will be fine, if you keep your baler in decent shape. The plunger is what packs the hay in the chamber. If your bale tension is high, the more plunger force your gonna need. When the plunger packs, it slows down the fly wheel and subsequently the pto shaft through to your pto. You are gonna feel it, as I feel it in my weighted 40 hp tractor. It's not too bad, and I think you'll be fine. If you get worried about it, feed the hay a little slower.
