If your intention is to win this argument you may or may not do that but you certainly aren't going to sell any balers or much else to anyone following it.

If you think your products superior fine, but you could be a wee bit smoother in your delivery. Your sales technique is vaguely remnisent of Tony Soprano. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Ahhh.......FNH dropped the chain balers in 1991. The 600 series came out in 1992.

hey CCI,

I just realised something.........you're pricing the econo baler from Vermeer vs the full featured ones from the others. So how much does the full featured Vermeer 554 XL baler cost?

Thanks

I just think it's foolish to blast a number of very big brand names on a forum where many(most?) people own some of the very same manufacturers product(s) and hope to win anyone over to your side.

CCI might be the greatest guy in the world with the best product known to mankind but that's not the way to win friends and influence people OR sell balers. I am sure as a dealer he would rather gain sales here than lose them.

I hope if he has read this he takes it in the manner it was intended. I really wasn't trying to blast him, just make a point and add a little humor at the same time.

NH, JD, HESSTON, New Idea, Gehl, Welger, M&W, Claas, & Krone can not even match the features of the Econo Rebel 5400.
Take the NH638 & NH-BR730 vs Vermeer 5400
NO have saver wheels available for the NH
Shear Pin safety for NH, clutch for the Vermeer
Bale Density control- NH= Spring Vermeer= Hydraulic
Weight- NH = 2950 LBS Vermeer 3900 LBS
Tires- NH= 9.5-15 Vermeer 11-15 High Speed FLOATATION
80 degree CV PTO Standard on ALL Vemeer Balers
This & much more while doing it all with 40 HP.

F350Lawman,
Because of the logistics and the size of a round baler, It's unlikely I'll sell an baler in Goshen, NY. The majority of our customers are in 100 mile radius. These same heated exchanges go on in the Ford, Chevy & Dodge Pickups. What is funny the Amish have the Horse vs. Mule thing too. Being a dealer, we have to make every color work in the field because we take them in on trade. That's an education into the capacity of each model that we sell used. If one purchase's a baler from CCM, New or Used, we guarantee it to be field ready. So we have to know how to adjust all the makes around. We sell more NH balers that the NH dealer in our area because we sell service, not just iron.

So what would a 555XL with net wrap, LCD monitor, hydraulic gauge wheels, etc. go for?

Once again you dodged my question. I did not ask you for a spec run down on the Vermeer vs the NH. But you did use a 5x4 baler vs a 4x4 from NH. I asked you what a new Vermeer 554XL costs.

Also on the Vermeer site it does not say that you can do haylege with the Rebel baler,as you've stated you can. It does say though that it is an option on the XLs.
