Haytech Grapple - need to adapt to my JD 40)X and JD 542

I purchased a used Hay Tech grapple. It is setup for a JD 6xx loader. I want to have it work on either my John Deere 400x or 542 loaders.

I know I wil need to cut tall that stuff off and figure out a mount for my stuff.

I do not want to convert my stuff to skid steer - too many implements.

I have a set of Frontier forks that work on both loaders. I want the same setup on this grapple.

I wonder if somebody sells a weld on plate of some kind that i could just weld to the grapple frame and be in business.

Ideas?

Darin,

You can buy the hooks and pins from JD for little money if you want to make your own. Or you can even make your own with some CAT3 pins and some angle iron.

Welcome. One more picture, it's of my Markham grapple. They weld the hooks and pins to a 3/8" plate.

I have one idea ... sell it to me and you won't have to go thru that long drawn out process of chasing off to the JD Dealer, spending the cash on the parts ... not to mention all that darn time welding everything up!!!

I have been looking for 5 years - I think I scored.

Does anybody have a manual and/or video on these things? I e-mailed them with no reply.

I am sure you got a good deal ... I am leaning towards the Rafter M grapple ... will build my own accumlator, for the FEL ...
