JD 4200
Hi,
New here so I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this question. I have a JD 4200 4x4 backhoe/loader. I have to replace the current R4 front tires. Rear are also R4. Does anyone have any experience or advice either pro or con for using the same size and ply rated HDAP tires for the front? Just curious for use across my lawn at times.

Thanks, Bill

I don't think that the HDAP will have as good of a load rating as the R4, which may affect you if you max out your loader.

I'd go with the R4s. They will provide more traction in 4X4 mode Lawn damage isn't a problem.

Thank you both for your prompt responses. The weight issue was one of my concerns and after looking around I haven't seen any 6 ply HDAP's. Guess I'll try to find a used set of R4's so the bar edges aren't as pronounced as new ones.

Thank you both again, Bill
