Have you contacted Hoye Tractor to see if they know the one that fits? I see they list a 1250 but only have a few parts listed in the JD section.

I think this is the second Head gasket post of the summer, seems were doing good in this extreme heat this year!

Is your tractor equiped with a raidiator? if so you may be able to fix a head gasket w/o taking it apart. This has worked for me several times and also with people I've recommended it too. At the Auto shop/walmart/Auto Zone/ Advanced they sell a product called'' Block Seal'' it sells for about $12-14 and follow the instructions on the to the letter, it works every time I've tried it. That stuff is also a good way to plug up your radiator or something else like cooling passages. If it was a complicated engine in a car to get out and not worth much i might try it. But not on a tractor where the engine is so easy to work on.

Gee, you don't know Porsche made water cooled engines?, sorry I replied to this problem, Yes Porsche makes Water cooled engines, Try that thing called the internet, look up "PORSCHE" . Or just stick to tractors, yup that works for me.
924 and 928 come to mind...I am sure not a euro tech. remember Risky Business with that weirdo Tom Cruise?
fwtw I still wouldn't use the stuff but happy it worked for someone replacing the hg is the best way you may have a warped head only way to know is pull it and do the valves while you have it down.

Not sure where you are located at but COntact Danny PArker of Parker equipment ( dparker@peq.com ) I purchased a head gasket from him on August 30th he QUICKLY had in in the mail & I got it on the 1st. I wasn't expecting it till ATleast Tuesday (since Monday was a holiday. BTW he's a Yanmar Dealer in AL. :thumbsup:
