Oh so your not giving me any money? :( How much did this truck cost you?

Plain truck off the factory line is no more than $40k, unfortunately, I've put about another $60k in it. By far the most expensive toy. I got it when I owned a company though and used it for a tax write off, so it made sense at the time, at least to me:D

Heated leather seats, back seat folds into a bed, smokestacks, pretty much the entire truck besides the frame and the cab was aftermarket by Monroe truck. Including the pickup bed was aftermarket. It really is used as a toy, though, 6 years old and 6,000 miles. Never seen a dirt road, or precipitation of any kind.

I wish I had a picture of all the different air horn set ups. I believe I've had it done 4 different ways now.

One of our subcontractors has the kodiak also. But in red with a Boss 10' power v-plow on it. it has a regular truck bed (like yours) with a gooseneck hitch and that thing just tows unbelievably well. His has seen about everything tho. He refers it as his compact semi. As he also has a 500+ HP semi and lowboy, its just littler to him.

you must have video of this thing cruising. if so please post becuase it is very cool. I plan on investing a few bucks into a military deuce and a half in the next year or two to be used soley as a toy such as your truck.

You know, I'll have to look around. I've never taken a video because I'm always driving. I'll have to see what I can come up with, though.

We have one... pretty cool. Only problem, top speed is 52... 53 going down hill with the wind behind you. And wear hearing protection.

The winch on the front did successfully pull a barn down, ha.

Our best investment was our 35 ton landall though. If my F250 with a gooseneck can't haul it... our dump truck and tag trailer can (1988 Peterbuilt w/ an Oxbody dump) but pulling with a tag isn't... fun. But we have several semi's (main business is trucking of lubricants, oils and greases)... we have 2 custom trucks, a completely rebuild 1985 autocar and a 1998 International Eagle... the Eagle is at about 650HP, out of a CAT 3406.

Here's some smoke blowing out of the stacks.

I didn't take the the video, but I found this that someone took while we were cruising the Woodward Dream cruise:thumbsup: (The horn sounds like a childs toy there, it is much louder in person)

If I had a BIG truck like that I would have gone and gotten the 110 myself! :D
But it would have put more miles on it than you allow per year :D
Maybe three or four years worth

For the record - those of you that said there is NOT a hydraulic thumb option for the 485 hoe are correct - I have a fellow interested in my backhoe so I called the dealer who said it was available and said - ok, price it out - 485 hoe, creep to reposition, 18" bucket, and hydraulic thumb. He called me back and said he was wrong, there is NOT a hydraulic thumb available, but that the same package, but with a mechanical thumb (which is available) priced out a bit over 10k.

At this point if my friend wants my old backhoe I'll sell it to him, otherwise I'll likely keep it. If he does purchase it I'll use the $ for other things and wait until my backhoe projects build up and either rent, buy a mini-ex, or a 4wd backhoe. I just don't see it being cost effective to get the 485 at that price with no hydraulic thumb. YMMV

$10k would be way to much for me to spend on the 485. I think you'd be better off looking for a good used mini ex shall the time come for that amount. The no hydraulic thumb would be a deal breaker for me as well. My 110's thumb has been awesome so far!

The long way (since end of Jan.) is almost over. In Feb. folks said "how can you wait that long?!" and it didn't really bother me as May was aways off, and with snow on the ground I wouldn't have used it too much anyway. Then spring came very early. Lots could have been done, but I don't exactly lack non-tractor projects. March wasn't bad. April wasn't. But, now it's May... and I'm ready to get some seat time as the project are piling up. Dealer confirmed May 18 ship date... I had thought that was delivery date, but it doesn't matter too much. He expects to need it at least a week to finish getting it ready (there may be *a few* dealer installed options I opted for...). I'm hoping I'll have it memorial day weekend but that may be pushing it.

I'll be sure to post images, and maybe some video if I can figure out how, once it arrives as I know we all like to look.
