Yesterday a buddy of mine and I were at the farm store. We were loading up his new landscape rake and some feed. They were closing out all feed at $3.50 a bag, no matter what it was. So, they were crazy busy.
Thats when the terrible racket started. It was HORRIBLE! Space aliens? NO. It seemed to eminate from a machine that one of the employees was flying around the lot. Ok, he wasn't in the air, he was moving pretty fast, though.
Now, I probably point out that my buddy is a Master Engine tech. He grew up on the farm servicing tractors, hot rods and everyhing else. He can rebuild a Cummins faster than most guys can figure out they don't have spark plugs.
I have been around my fair share of engines as well.
We had never heard that kind of racket before. (OK, maybe on an engine that was like in dire need of a crankshaft...)
We were horrified.
Especially when we figured out it was brand new tractor that they were hoping to sell to someone.
Wow.
