$1K discount on $5K spending you might as well just spend $3K on comparable hearing aids at Costco and be $1K ahead.
Everyone says they don't need hearing aids but you really need to ask the people you communicate with if they agree with that.
The five year old ReSound I'm using were $6k before the discount. The aid manufacturers have a big finger in the audiology businesses here so there is always a big push to sell or upscale. No Costco
How many times is it appropriate to say "What" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear, or understand, a word they said.

Sorry this has not been an in and out experience.
Another good news bad news day.
The right mold fit the left did not. She redid the goop in the left ear and will try for the 4th time to get a perfect fit.
It is hard to compare overall quality when one HA has a double dome and the other one is a mold, so I wait another week to complete the review.
She also connected the HAs to the computer and readjusted the sound loudness filters a tad on the car mode and restaurant mode. There is a fine line between being able to hear enough sound without hearing too much background noise.
When pulling the HA molds out I pulled them by the wire not the pull string and they did not work when I was ready to leave they were able to replace the wires and they are good to go. I'm glad they have a 3 year warranty, it looks like I'll need it on this learning curve.
