I had one of those in a vehicle. It worked good, probably better than the factory heated seat which was burned out. The downside was you had to remember to turn it off otherwise it killed the battery.

I have a one inch thick foam pad to place on the tractor seat. "Heat-A-Seat". No electrics - works like a champ. Makes those stone cold days a little less miserable.
